It's the beginning of the road but eating an elephant can only be done one bite at a time... Think about it.

You’re spending all of that time on the internet, why not make money with that time?  All of that talking you’re doing can be bringing you some extra cheddar and all you’re bound to do is share your truth with the world.  This is a great gift that I wanted to share with everyone because it can be a little confusing and everyone needs help so here is a great way to start.

You can have EVERYTHING you want… You really can.

This is a video that is at the core of what we do here.  This is what “TheiMillionaire” is all about.  The reason I’m here, the reason we’re here, the reason I can talk about what I’m talking about has nothing to do with the internet.

The internet is a tool that connects you to the world. What message do you have for us?

Ryan Lee made a great statement that said that his business would still be thriving without the internet because he has principles in place that would still be at work without it.  The internet is simply a tool.  It’s not magic, it’s not a magic pill, it’s a tool.  The tool is only as effective as the person using it so we need to make sure that the practitioner is primed to utilize that tool as best as humanly possible.

The point of this video (click on the  picture to the left) is to get you on the right train of thought to realizing that once you realize that happiness isn’t money and that happiness and success begins with you, that’s the point where you’ll see your business explode because now you’ll be doing what you’re “supposed” to be doing and people will feel it.  I know that sounds a bit “The Secret”-ish but that is NOT from that book and I’m not selling that here.  I’m just telling some good principles that are going to help you business.

People. The lifeblood of your business. Period.

I just met a man today and I wanted to tell you about him.  This goes right in line with the blog post before this one and you’ll see why.

Your #1 Goal is to create Happy, Repeat, Customers. Remember that, Happy, Repeat, Customers. Oh yeah, don't forget the Happy and Repeat part 😉

I was looking at an online service and I saw an interesting video.  Of all of the videos out there and of all of the things that I view on a daily basis, it really says a lot that I not only saw an interesting video, but I watched another one by the same creator, and then the next step is what is key.  I took action.

Many times you’ll see and you’ll hear internet marketers talk about generating traffic and leads for you but how do you know they’re even doing it for themselves?  Well here you go.  I took action and contacted Earl Hall based off of these videos and the site that I went to once the site led me there.

There are two things that set this apart from other sites.  The first thing was Earl himself.  There was something endearing and honest about him as person that no marketing can mimic.  That secret ingredient we talked about called, YOU.  The other thing that set him apart was his free offer of 20 videos that he was going to give to you just for showing interest in what he was talking about!  Well, that was really a bonus because now I have to add a 3rd thing that set him apart and that thing I only found once I picked up the phone and called him.

I called him?  That’s right, I called him!

You expect me to use this thing???

So many of us running online businesses feel that we’re in a box and that we don’t communicate with people anymore but the opposite is actually true!!!  You’re communicating even MORE with people and it’s even MORE important that you connect with people in the “real world” by talking with them and trying to work together.  The idea of truly running an online business is that you’re a “Small business owner” now.  Contact other businesses and figure out how you can help them.  There’s your second clue right there.  How you can help them.  Don’t always look for how people can help you but add value to what they do and try to help their business succeed.

The reason it’s important to ask that question is because if you take care of them you’ll end up being taken care of later on as well.  Some people call it the law of reciprocity, some call it karma, some say G-d loves it when His kids get along.  Whatever you call it, do it.

One main way you can help other people you’re joint venturing with is to simply do a good job and over deliver your product to their clientele.

If Simon Cowell, from American Idol can say good job, you can too right? Hopefully a little better than this =)

Here’s why.  If you come in there and you truly care about their people then that person you’re joint-venturing with comes across like a Superstar and you’re helping him to get repeat customers in his own business.  It makes him or her look like they are proactive in their business and that they care about them.  Even if you just talk about your product but you make sure to reference “their leader” with high esteem then he or she just hired you to be a huge promoter for themselves which is genius.

So, getting back to Earl.  I’m going to get a link from him and point you guys in a direction of a man that obviously caught my attention and I’m sure can do the same for you.

A little side note here.  His business is EXPLODING by helping people grow their business who are NOT ONLINE!  So if you have a business that isn’t about online products it doesn’t matter because that’s turning out to be his specialty too.

As always, I’ll let you know what I think about what he’s sharing with you all.  If it’s got some bad points, I’ll point them out.  If it’s got good points, I’ll point them out as well.  The main thing is as we delve into what he has, if it’s as good as the man himself seems to be friendly, helpful, honest, and productive, then I’m pretty excited.

I’ll get that to you as soon as I get some info from him.

I’ll try and get an interview with him as well and see what other tricks he has up his sleeves =)

Making your presence known. Ad swap, List swap…

Which side are you gong to feed? The greedy side or the good side?

This is a dual entry because the idea of your “presence” deals with “YOUR” presence and then your “Company’s” presence.  You know where I’m going with this.  In reality, they’re one in the same.  But, I’m going to break it down into some practical advice for you today.

I’m constantly reaching and contacting other business owners, entrepreneurs, working on a new project, etc. and I hear people say to me, “I like your style”.  One of the main things I try and bring to my businesses is ME.  I bring who I am to whatever it is that I’m doing and I don’t try and hide that.  WHO YOU ARE is all you have.  Everyone has another product, everyone can lower the price, raise the price, increase the quality, outsource to China, etc.  But NO ONE can give YOU to the people.  YOU are the reason people are doing business with you.  If they’re doing business with you because you’re cheap then you may not have that customer next week.  On the other side…

Making your presence known is also getting the news out there.  You have a great web site but no one knows about it.  You have a great product but no one knows about.  Well, in my

meeting with other business owners I’m running across a lot of people who help others get traffic, recognition, etc. to their websites and businesses and here’s what I want to do.

I’m going to be honest with you and let you know that if something isn’t working or someone’s product may be lacking in an area, I’m going to let you know about it.  The people that I’m meeting are going to see if what I have will help their audiences and I want to know if what they have helps you.  So, let me know when I bring something your way if it’s something you’re interested in, something that works, etc.

The idea of what I’m doing is called a “swap”.  You can ad swap, list swap, and anything else swap I’m sure.  It’s commerce, the essence of “trade” if you like.

Not everyone does business this way but in my opinion it keeps you true to what you’re trying to contribute to the world and keeps you connected to it.  Helping people.  Help other people get their business going and eventually people will help you out as well.

Keep on meeting people. It'll keep you and your business alive =) It's fun too!

Here’s the trick… make sure what you’re sharing is good stuff.  That way it’s really helping people.  One of the ways I try and make sure this is covered is I talk with the person whose product I’m going to be sharing.  I want to know who that person is.  Are they a quality person, do we get along, do we like each other, do we sincerely want to help each other or are they just interested in themselves.  If they pass this test then with any application of the product and any effort at all, it’s likely to work and be great.

Mentality…That's half the battle. "Go Joe!"

The last few posts are about me personally and what I’m hoping to accomplish here and in my life.  It’s very candid and you might be saying, “Whoa, Jerome.  Slow down!  We only just met.”

That’s true but I’m pointing out a very important point here by doing these things for you and for you business, online or offline.

Don't forget the lesson of the day, "Knowing is half the battle." Go Joe!

Transparency.  I’m not saying you need to let people know where you live and what your social security card is, you have to have common sense here too.  What I am saying is that people are doing business with people and 9 times out of 10 (just a quote from my dad, not a real statistic =) people are going to do business with people they like.  Even if someone else is more qualified they’ll still go with the person they like or get along with or who they feel understands them (almost all one in the same when you break it down).

Soooo…  What does being transparent have to do with that?  Well, it’s about people liking you and you also liking them.  You’re creating a community.  You’re creating a family.  What you’re doing when you start or run a business is you providing something for people to help them and you want to have a good time doing it.  When you’re transparent you might find that you have other things in common too!  Maybe that’ll create a deeper relationship?  Maybe it’ll lead to more business?  Maybe it’ll turn them off and they’ll never come back again?  Who knows.  The point is that business is changing and there is so much information out there now-a-days that instead of running from it you may want to find a way to embrace it.

Why???

One of the biggest things in having an online business is find your why.

It’s easy to get caught up in the numbers and trying to sell your tail off and see how many thousands of people you can market to and get to respond.

That’s taught to be the name of the game but that’s not true at all.
Not from a business perspective, a consumer-relations perspective, and not from a true personal perspective where you honestly want to take care of who is in your community.

I want to focus on the people. I truly want to build relationships and help change lives. When I use the number 1000 that’s a really small number compared to what some people are doing. I use that number to truthfully mean, “help 1000 people make money online”. I want to create an environment, a community where people connect with me and I connect with them and there is sincere growth.
